Lord in your mercy.
Lord in your mercy hear us.
Lord we trust in your mercy. We cling to your mercy.
Because it’s all we can hope for when life collides and tragedy results.
Lord in your mercy grant us peace.
Lord in your mercy grant us hope.
Comfort us in the safety of your wing as we huddle in the shadows seeking protection.
We want reasons. We want assurances. But there are none.
Only brokenness the world over. Only searing pain, again and again and again.
So we cling to your mercy. We cling to your promises.
We cling to the joy that breaks through the cracks in the dry earth; to the joy that emerges even in the ashes.
And we pray for peace. And we long for Life to emerge victorious.
