If you live nearby, join Karen Kelly and me every Sunday evening during Lent for a practice of yoga and prayer.
When we “give something up” for lent, a space is created in our lives. We must ask ourselves what we are going to put in that space.
We believe that yoga is a nurturing celebration of the bodies God has given us. We live and move and have our whole beings within these amazing physical forms. Contrary to common assumptions, body and soul are not disconnected. They are intrinsically connected — our bodies and spirits are mysteriously interwoven in ways we will never understand. This is why yoga and prayer are such a great combination for a lenten practice. We must intentionally take time to nurture our bodies as well as our spirits, celebrating physical strength and balance, then quieting our spirits to hear the call of God on our hearts.

If you are not able to join us, I would love to send you a lenten reflection each Monday during lent. If you’d like to receive those, let me know!
May the Spirit of God guide us into through humility into wisdom and compassion as we journey toward Easter’s resurrection.
